Arthur POV

I wanted to start _________ where I could see her so I could study her. I wanted to see if she really was the girl I once knew way back when I was little. And this way, I didn't have to explain why I was looking at her; she'd be too distracted with cleaning. From the job she did on the kitchen, I could tell she was enthusiastic.

She had put on the apron I keep in the broom closet, and she looked quite cute with it on. I watched as she dusted the bookcases and lamps. Every now and then, she'd look over at me and I'd look at something I on my desk before she could see me gazing at her.

She was quite beautiful. Her (h/c) hair was down and shimmered in the sunlight. When her back wasn't to me, I caught glances of her sparkling (e/c) eyes.  They always held a look of determination in them.

Wait, shimmering (h/c) and sparkling (e/c) eyes? Besides the fact that she new Tink. Wait, she knew Tink!!! That thought never really sunk in before! There's no doubt, ___________ is the girl from my childhood.

Now how to go about telling her?

Reader POV

You went from bookcase to bookcase, cleaning the dust off of them and moving on. You weren't sure, but it felt like eyes were in you. Like someone was watching you. But Arthur was the only person in the room.

When you looked over at him to see if it was him, you saw him looking at papers on his desk. He looked totally immersed in them, so you looked away and went back to your job. But a few moments later, the feeling was back.

You repeated this process a couple times; you were feeling uncomfortable and wanted to be finished as soon as possible.

~~*~~

It took you a whole hour and a half to finish cleaning. There hasn't been any talking besides you telling him that you were going to start vacuuming. He only nodded, not even looking up from his paper.

When everything was sparkling with cleanliness, you sighed and whipped some sweat from your face. Glancing over at the clock you had discovered, you saw that it was about lunchtime.

You put the cleaning supplies away in the broom closet and found a bathroom to wash up in. You sprayed cold water on your face and breathed out contently as the cold water washed off your face. Grabbing a hand towel and rubbing off the water, you looked at yourself in the mirror.

You looked much better than you had this morning. You felt better too. Everything was smoothed out and you felt like you could start fresh.

Giving your hair a quick fix, you walked back to the study. Arthur was still at his desk, writing something down.

"Um, Arthur?" you asked him. He looked up and though his face didn't smile, his eyes did, giving him a kind look.

"Yes, _________?" he asked you back.

"Would like some lunch?" you asked. He looked over at the clock to see what time it was and then looked back to you.

"Lunch sounds wonderful, love." He said, a slight smile on his face.

"O-okay, what would you like?" you asked yet another question. He pondered a moment before answering.

"Anything's fine. If you need help finding something, just ask." He said, smile widening slightly. You only nodded, not trusting your voice, and walked to the kitchen.

It had some new burn marks you'd need to clean up, but you'd do that latter. Lunch was your current mission, and you planned on completing it!

You looked around and looked at everything that was in the kitchen. After getting a general idea about where everything was, you decided on what to make.

You smiled, because you knew exactly what he'd like. His favorite thing to each when you two were little was a peanut butter and jam sandwich. With just a touch of salt.

You grabbed the ingredients and assembled the perfect PB and Jam sandwich. You made some green tea to go with it. Putting them all on a tray, (your sandwich included) you walked back up to the Arthurs study.

"It's ready!" you chimed as you walked in. You set the tray down on the coffee table in his study and sat on a couch. You poured the tea for both of you and added the perfect amount of sugar.

"What is it?" Arthur asked as he walked over. He sat on the couch opposite you and looked at the food you had prepared.

"PB and jam sandwiches!! With some green tea as a beverage." You told him. "I hope you don't mind if I join you?" you asked him. He looked up at you and looked puzzled.

"Not at all, I'd be happy if you joined me." He said and picked up his sandwich. He took a bite and his eyes widened. He looked up at you in surprise and confusion. "Tell me, what exactly did you put in this?" he asked you after he had swallowed his mouthful. You blushed.

"I put in some peanut butter and jam in it. Also some salt. Because I know you like it." You paused for a moment for him to say something, when he didn't you continued.

"I don't know if you remember this, but I knew you when we were little. We were best friends and I remembered that you liked some salt on your PB and J sandwiches." You said blushing more. "It's okay if 'you don't."

Arthur stared at you and finally spoke. "I do remember you. I remembered you this morning, when I overheard you and my boss talking." He said, looking away, ashamed by the last statement.

You were shocked. He knew by this afternoon. He remembered.

That explains his personality change. You weren't sure how you felt about this.
